How to Check Aadhaar Card Status By Name

In case you have lost your Enrolment ID or Aadhaar number, you can still check Aadhaar card status by name using the following method:

  1. Visit the official website of UIDAI (Unique Identification of India) i.e. resident.uidai.gov.in/find-uid-eid
  2. Select ‘Aadhaar Number (UID)’ or ‘Enrolment Number (EID)’ under the section ‘You want to receive your lost’
  3. Provide full name
  4. Provide email address
  5. Provide registered mobile number
  6. Enter the security code that is displayed on your screen i.e. ‘Get OTP’ button
  7. You will receive OTP (One Time Password) on your registered mobile phone number or Email address
  8. Click on ‘Verify OTP’
  9. After providing all the above mentioned information, you will receive a message on your registered mobile number containing your Aadhaar card number or Enrolment ID
  10. Visit https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/#/
  11. Under ‘I have’ select ‘Enrolment ID’
  12. Provide Aadhaar card number or enrolment ID, full name, PIN code, security text, and mobile number
  13. Click on ‘Get OTP’ (you will receive OTP on your registered mobile / email ID)
  14. Enter the OTP in the given box and click on ‘Validate and Download’
  15. Now you have downloaded your e – Aadhaar card. Enter your PIN code as the password when you open the PDF document
  16. You now have your e – Aadhaar card and take a print out of it

How to Check Aadhaar Card Status by Name and Enrolment ID

Once applied, it takes typically 3 – 5 weeks to receive your Aadhaar card. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) offers ways through which you can track the status of your card.

  1. Download the ‘Aadhaar Status App’ on your android app
  2. Click on ‘Get Your Status Button’
  3. Provide your 14 digit Enrolment ID and date and time of the enrolment number
  4. Once you have provided all the required details you will receive your current Aadhaar card status

Note – Aadhaar Status App is available only on Google Play Store and it does not have the ios version as of now.

UIDAI made changes in Online updation process

UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) who is the issuer of 12 – digit Unique Identification Number on behalf of the government, has modified the online tools where the Aadhaar card holders could update their basic details online. However, in the new changes made by the UIDAI, Aadhaar holders can only update their address online or by post. Only address can be updated online by post with effect from October 20, 2017, the UIDAI said on a micro blogging site, Twitter.

Hence, people now cannot change or update other details such as name, date of birth, mobile number and email address online, they will have to visit the ‘Aadhaar Kendra’ or Aadhaar Centre nearest to them in order to make a request.

How to update Address fed into Aadhaar Database

  1. Visit the official website of UIDAI and ‘Address Update Request (Online)’ tool. You can find the link here: https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/update.

  2. Now enter your 12 – digit Aadhaar number and click on the ‘Send OTP’ option, which you will receive on your registered mobile number by the Aadhaar system.

  3. Now on the next page, you are required to select ‘Address’ and proceed by clicking ‘Submit’ button.

  4. Now on the next page, the UIDAI website enables the user to check the entries.
  5. Check the entries properly and proceed by providing the valid documents which supports the changes. And you are required to upload digital files created by scanning the original documents. As stated by UIDAI,

  6. Now select from the available service providers and proceed. At this stage, the UIDAI portal also displays the estimated time required to process your request.

  7. And finally at the time of submission, a URN (Update Request Number) will be issued. And this URN will be used to track the status of your request.

Documents Required for Aadhaar Address change

You will have to provide following documents to change the address in your Aadhaar Card

  • Scanned image of original proof of address (PoA)
  • Passport
  • Bank statement / passbook
  • Statement of Post Office account / passbook
  • Ration card, Voter ID, driving license, water bill and telephone landline bill are some of the other documents

Also please note that the bills for water, telephone and electricity must not be older than three months.

Unique Identification Authority of India or commonly known as UIDAI who administers Aadhaar has introduced the provision of checking where and when your Aadhaar card was used. Follow the below mentioned steps for the same:

  1. Visit Aadhaar authentication history page i.e. resident.uidai.gov.in/home
  2. Enter your Aadhaar number and the security code in the picture on your screen
  3. Select ‘Generate OTP’ (One Time Password)
  4. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile phone number. Don’t forget to verify your number on the UIDAI Official Website
  5.  Now you will get an option to choose the period of information and the number of transactions. Enter the OTP you have received on your phone and click on submit option
  6. Now, you will see a date, time and type of all Aadhaar authentication requests made in the period you had chosen. However, the page won’t show who made the requests.

As the Government has made it mandatory to submit Aadhaar while opening new bank account and also that the existing bank account should be linked Aadhaar Card of the account holder before December 31,2017. The Government has also warned that the Aadhaar-less Bank Accounts will become invalid. To check the linking status of your Aadhaar and Bank account follow these simple steps:

Get Tatkal Passport With Just Aadhaar Number | In 10 Days

Now you can get a Tatkal Passport by just providing your Aadhaar Number. To make the procedure go faster, the passport department is putting an end to the verification certificate in order to acquire a passport under the Tatkal scheme.

Previously, the applicants were required to obtain a certificate from the gazetted officer stated that the passport be issued under the tatkaal category.

 

The notice by the Regional Passport Office reads

It has been decided by the Ministry of External Affairs that in the larger public interest, the verification certificates is no longer required to be submitted by an applicant seeking passport under the revised tatkaal scheme.

On the matter, a passport official said that this move of doing away with the annexure F (Specimen declaration of applicants for obtaining a passport in lieu of lost / damaged passport) to restraint corruption.

Generally people apply for Tatkal Passport in emergency and approach travel agents and them with the help of the government officials and ask for sky – high amounts for issuing such verification certificates.

Under this scheme, apart from Aadhaar number / enrolment number and Annexure – E, you are required to provide any two documents from the below mentioned list:

  • EPIC (Elector’s Photo Identity Card)
  • Service photo identity card issued by State / Central Government
  • Public Sector Undertakings
  • Local bodies or public limited companies
  • Sc / ST / other backward class certificate
  • Arms license
  • Pension document such as ex – servicemen’s pension book / pension payment order / ex – servicemen’s widow / dependent certificate
  • Old age pension order;
  • Self – passport (unrevoked and undamaged)
  • PAN (Permanent Account Number) Card
  • Bank / Kisan / Post Office Passbook
  • Students photo identity card issued by an educational institution
  • Driving license (valid and jurisdiction of state of submission of applicant)

If the applicant is below the age of 18 years, they are required to submit the below mentioned documents:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Letter

  • 28 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID printed on the Aadhaar enrolment slip
  • Prescribed fee
