Supreme Court to hear the Aadhaar Case for Interim Relief

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the list of the Aadhaar related cases today for the Interim relief. This matter was quoted by the petitioners before the Chief Justice Mr. Dipak Mishra (head of the Bench) listing out the matter.

The Attorney General KK Venugopal representing the Central Government told the court that the Centre will issue a notification tomorrow regarding the extension of the Aadhaar linking with the various schemes for those who are yet to procure Aadhaar.

The Senior Advocate, Shyam Divan, objected the statement saying that the extension of the deadline must also be applicable to those who already have an Aadhaar”.

Either list the case next week for the interim orders or let then give an undertaking that there will be no coercive steps taken even with respect to those who have Aadhaar.

The judges have proceeded to discuss among themselves before agreeing to the list of the case for interim relief for the next week.
