The Bandhan Bank is a private Indian Bank which was founded in the year 2001 by Chandra Shekhar Ghosh. The bank has its headquarters in Kolkata, West Bengal India. Ashok Lahiri is the Chairman of the Bank and Chandra Shekhar Ghosh is the CEO and Managing Director of the Bank. From the past 15 years, the bank has credibility and accolades for financing small entrepreneurs and around 6 million women borrowers.

The bank initially had around 501 branches, 50 ATMs, 2022 Door-step Service Centers across India. The bank was incorporated on 23rd December 2014 as a wholly owned subsidiary bank. The Reserve Bank of India approved Bandhan bank as a universal bank in April 2014.

The Bandhan Bank is the first bank to be set up in the eastern region of India after Independence. Currently, the bank has a chain of 840 bank branches and 2444 Doorstep service centers and 383 ATMs. The bank has an approx of 24066 employees working.

Steps to Link Aadhaar with Bandhan Bank Account Offline

  1. Visit the nearest Bandhan Bank along with a self-attested photocopy of Aadhaar.
  2. Take an Aadhaar seeding form from the bank and fill in the details.
  3. The bank officials will now verify the form and the details mentioned along with the photocopy of the documents submitted.
  4. Once your information is verified, it will be notified through an SMS on your registered mobile number.
