ICICI Bank Limited

ICICI Bank was formed in 1995 which is a major and banking and financial organization in India. Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) Bank has ranked the second largest bank in India the largest private sector bank in India by market capitalization. IFSC Code of ICICI bank The Indian Financial System Code (IFSC) contains unique 11 character code, assigned by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for identifying the bank and branch which an account is held. The IFSC code is used by the NEFT, RTGS and IMPS finance transfer systems.

  • First four characters identify the bank name i,e. ICIC
  • the fifth character is always 0
  • and the last characters represents the branch address i,e. 001821

NEFT

National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) is a nation-wide system that clear the way for individuals, firms, and corporates to electronically transfer funds from any bank branch to any individual, firm or corporate having an account with any other bank branch in the country. NEFT transfers are also referred as e-cheques as the funds are not transferred in real-time and the funds are settled in batches.

Real Time Gross Settlements (RTGS) is a "Real Time" transaction system.The acronym can be understood by breaking it into two parts i.e, 'Real Time' means the processing of instructions at the time they are received rather than at some later time and 'Gross Settlement' means the transaction is settled on a one-to-one basis without bundling or netting with any other transaction i,e. once the payment is settled it can not be changed, it's irrevocable. The RTGS system is primarily meant for large value transaction.

IMPS

Immediate Payment Service is an interbank (operating between banks) electronic instant mobile money transfer service through mobile phones. IMPS service helps access bank Account and transfer funds instantly. The beneficiary account is credited immediately when a Fund Transfer request is made through your Mobile phone / Internet Banking. This service is available 24x7, throughout the year including Sundays and any bank holiday.
