Adding to this it also says,
As we all know that Aadhaar has become one of the most important documents as it has been mandated with most of the other important official documents such as bank account, PAN (Permanent Account Number), mobile phone and now it is mandatory to link it with Insurance Policy products such as life insurance, health insurance, or any other type of insurance.
Earlier this month, Insurance Regulator IRDA said
According to sources, there are nearly 29 crore policy holders of LIC Insurance Plans. At present, there are total of 54 insurance companies in India. The fraudsters take advantage of this huge number by trying to trick policy holders by creating fake messages with LIC emblem, asking the readers to send their Aadhaar numbers to a given mobile number. Hence, Life Insurance Corporation has issued a strict warning alert against such messages.
